Marshall Islands Soccer Federation

Our Story

From a blank page to the world stage. The story of football in the Marshall Islands.

"Football is how 42,000 people tell the world we exist — and that we're fighting to keep existing."

Shem Livai — MISF President

The Marshall Islands Soccer Federation was founded in 2020 with a simple but audacious goal: to build a legitimate national football programme for one of the world's smallest and most remote nations.

The Republic of the Marshall Islands — 29 coral atolls and 5 isolated islands scattered across 2 million square kilometres of the Pacific — faces challenges that would make most football administrators pause. Limited infrastructure. Geographic isolation. Climate change threatening the very land the team plays for.

MISF chose to see those challenges as the story, not the obstacle. Every atoll reached, every player registered, every international fixture played becomes a statement of defiance and belonging.
